Pamela Pyne
North County Staff
Pamela Pyne retired from her employment at the Orem City Library effective June 1, 2005 after 35 years of service. Pamela, a life long resident of Orem, started working for the Orem City Library as a volunteer page in December 1969 while a senior at Orem High School. At that time the library was housed in the old home of Leo Poulson, located directly across the street north of the Scera Theater. She was employed as a contract employee in May 1970 when she graduated from Orem High School.
During Pamela's 35 years at the library she saw it grow from its humble beginning to its present status as one of the finest libraries in Utah. She will miss her daily association with the good friends and library staff members she has come to love and appreciate.
As she enters retirement, she will continue her hobbies of needle work, reading and other enjoyable activities. She looks forward to the opportunity to spend more time with her parents, Clifton and Peggy Pyne of Orem and with other family members. Pam's three sisters are Cindy Pyne of Orem, Sandra (Ken) Evans of Saratoga Springs, Utah, and Debra (Mark) Veteto of Payson Canyon, Utah. Her one brother, C. Vern (Nancy) Pyne, lives in Apex, North Carolina.
An Open House will be held for Pamela at her home, 575 E. 320 N. Orem, on Sunday, June 5, 2005 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friends of Pamela are invited to attend. No gifts, please.
